November 21, 2015 - Civil Defense. Jeff Brown, Local Teacher and Historian. The talk on fallout shelters discussed the preparations made for nuclear war in the United States, particularly during the "shelter craze" of the early 1960s. Original artifacts, plus a PowerPoint presentation, was featured. In addition, the Twilight Zone episode "The Shelter" was viewed by the audience.

July 11, 2015 - Union Army Balloon Corps. John H. Yates. A discussion of how Professor Thaddeus Lowe and the Union Army Balloon Corps played an important role during the American Civil War, from June 1861-1863. The Balloon Corps was the pre-cursor of the US Air Force and spawned the first aircraft carrier. A local soldier, John Austin, participated in the Balloon Corps.
June 20, 2015 - Appraisers. Richard Plunkett (Wizard of Odds: Yellow Brick Road Show) & Mathew Pizza (Waretown Stamp & Coin). The audience brought many interesting items to be appraised. The appraisers are certified with over 50 years local experience. Charges were $5 / Item or $10 / 3 Items. The proceeds benefitted the Tuckerton Historical Society.

May 9, 2015 - Eyewitness Images From the American Revolution. Arthur S. Lefkowitz, Author and Historian. A color slide presentation of 18th Century artistry in the form of studio executed history paintings, portraits, illustrations and rapidly executed drawings done in the field. While some of the artwork presented may look familiar, Mr. Lefkowitz gave detailed information about each image and well as insights concerning the artists who created them. The pictures in the presentation were gathered from a variety of museum collections and, by using high quality reproductions, interesting historical details come to life that are frequently lost when the pictures are shown in books. This program was funded by the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

March 14, 2015 - Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. Virginia Rettig, Refuge Manager. 2014 celebrated the 75th Anniversary of Brigantine NWR, established in 1939 for American black duck and Atlantic brant. A discussion of the history of the refuge and how wildlife populations compare to early years was presented.
